You Know Me Well Review by David Levithan and Nina LaCour

Rating: ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆

You Know Me Well is a book telling us about Kate and Mark. It tells us about their life, about their problems, etc. It was a light, quick reading.
Honestly, it’s not that I don’t like this book, it’s just that I expected more for this book. I expected more from David Levithan. I don’t connect with the characters and everything feels plain. Just plain. It’s just like I keep reading and reading and waiting for something to happen, some twist or anything but then, it’s the end.
This book is so not for me.
However, I can still recommend to everyone who likes to read about characters’ problems, struggle and feelings.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Review by J.K. Rowling

Rating: ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆

Ooookay, this is disappointing.
First, the book is not written like a book. It was more like a script. There are no descriptive paragraph describing the characters’ feeling, what they’re doing. The book contained conversations. Exactly what a script is.
I honestly expect more from this book, I want more.
This story revolves around Albus and Scorpio and time travel. This is a story about Albus who wants to prove worthy of his father, thus almost destroy the world.
As in love as I was with the previous series, I can’t say I’m in love with this book. It lacks of adventure.

The book started with Albus’s first year, as shown in the seventh book’s epilogue, Albus was nervous about getting sort to Slytherin. Though, it was true he did get into Slytherin (I was so happy, because finally, something new. He befriended Scorpio Malfoy and together they were kind of the losers in the school. Because well, Albus is Harry Potter’s son who got in Slytherin and Scorpio, there are ridiculous rumor that he was Voldermort’s son.
Then one day when Albus overheard Harry’s and Amos Diggory’s conversation about how Amos heard about time-turner and wanting the Ministry to go back in time to save Cedric, Albus decided to go on adventure with Scorpio to save Cedric. This resulted with a lot of destruction for time. World nearly got destroyed, Voldermort ruled, etc.

Anyway, Harry showed up and saved the world. Again.

Honestly, I have to say this again, I expected something more. I wanted to know how all the characters doing. I desperately wanted to know about George Weasley, because he and Fred are my favorite character all the time and there were no mention about George at all.
Like I said, the story is told narrowly.

Additional point, I love the reconciliation between Harry and Draco <33

But I have no doubt that the story will be amazing on movies. I only wish that it was nor written in a script form.
Overall, I was not satisfied about the book, because it only gives us a little peek of Harry Potter’s life and none of other.

2 out of 5 stars!

When you are stalked what do you do? Fall in love with him of course… I like the idea behind this book but other than that? No…
I don’t like Pagan, I can’t stand Miranda, I’m not even in love or swoon over Dank.
What makes me finish this book is because is a very short book..

First of all, I don’t get why Death fell in love with Pagan, what’s so special about her.. She could see souls, yes but it was not only her that can see them, there had to be other people that could see souls too. She’s not brave, she’s just a typical high school girl, she’s even selfish.. so so selfish. I hate her. She hung around Leif for comfort when she’s completely in love with Dank. What kind of person do that. She used Leif. In her defense it was because he was some kind of her anchor to the real world. Seriously? You have Miranda. Ugh.

Second, I also don’t get why she fell in love with Death. Was it just the pull she felt when he was there? Nothing about Death was interesting, except maybe his body, which is a sexy teenager body. Again, ugh! So not inteeresting.

This story could be so much better if only the characters have interesting personality. And I hate the triangle love, this is not even feel like love triangle because Pagan had no feelings towards Leif. Honestly this feels like Twilight all over again, and she’s even worse than Bella..

Overall, the book is easy reading, I must say, and not really boring, it makes me want to read what next but when I found out what’s next, it just keeps disappointing me and I just wish that the characters could get better in the next book.

Remember Me? by Sophie Kinsella Review

Rating: ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆

I am a fan of Sophie Kinsella’s book, her books are always made me laugh out loud.
Remember Me? is a fun and light reading. It follows the story of a character who lost three years of her memory and that three years of her life is somehow shitty but with a good reason.

The book started with the last memory of Lexi and then she woke up in a hospital three years forward from her memory. She is now a director, she has a husband, and mostly everyone hates her. Then the book tells us the story of how she discovers what happened at the three years she lost and how much has changed from that day. She has become an entirely different person yet still the same. I love how Kinsella portrays the character, it is perfect. The storyline is good but I only wished for more romance in them. I’d want more moments of her and (view spoiler).
Overall, this book is funny but not as funny as Can You Keep a Secret?, but still I enjoyed this book so much. I only wished that she writes more of the romance aspect in this book. But nevertheless I am satisfied.

The Crown by Kiera Cass Review

Rating: ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆
At least this book is better than The Heir, but still..
I feel like this book is rushed and it’s just something missing in it.
I said this book is better, yes.. why? Because at least Eadlyn’s character is way better. She’s opened up and not as annoying and spoiled as before.
From the start, I’ve always know that Eadlyn would end up with (view spoiler), but the thing is I expected more to their story than this. Their romance is disappointing and feel rushed.
Overall, I expected a lot more from this book and I dare to say that this book is disappointing for me.

Ruby Red Trilogy Series by Kerstin Gier review

Rating: ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆

Oh I wish I paid more attention in my German class in high school. I really wanna read the original version.

This is my first time reading time-travel book (I think?) and I liked it! The concept of this series, I cannot stop reading them..
The characters and the story-line are great. What I especially love is the concept behind the story, it was unlike anything I have ever read. It is just that I prefer something more ‘wow’ for the ending, it lacks of plot twist and kind of predictable, I kinda guessed already what would happen.

I like Gwennyth and how her character is developed from the first book to the end. Leslie, omg she is amazing, and it is true as she said, it is so good to be a best friend of a time-traveler, better than being the time-traveler itself. Gideon, I liked him alright, I think he was just a sexy typical boyfriend that is very commonly found.
I on the other hand liked loved James! Good God, for some unknown reason I want more story about him and I kinda ship him with Gwennyth and goshh… I think I’m alone in shipping them together. But I am happy for how his life turned out, at least he was happy! Ich liebe dich, James!

Over all, this book is great and even great that after reading this you can watch the movie! I cannot wait for the third movie that will come out this July!

The Champion of Barésh by Susan Grant Review

Rating: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

I want to hike on the paths, too. I want to smell everything, to taste everything, to see the birds, and the trees. All of it. In my wildest dreams I couldn’t have imagined a place like this. I feel like I’ve been caged all my life and now I’m finally free.

I received a free review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Holy craggin crat! This is the first book of Susan Grant that I have ever read. And I should say, I am so glad I read this book.

I love this book. I love everything of this book. The idea behind this book, the execution of the idea, the characters, the story-line. Everything is blended perfectly.

Jemm Aves is a woman who’s in need of money which is why she disguised herself as a male to play bajha at night. And gosh, she is good at it, especially as a female.

Let’s cheer for Sea Kestrel!

Then she is discovered by Prince Klark who’s desperate to repair his reputation in his family clan. Klark wanted her to play in his team seeing how it would bring victory to his team which would lead to his reputation being restored.
So that is the gist of the story of how they met.

The character development in this book is amazing, Jemm is one of a few female characters that I actually loved. She’s a strong woman who will do anything for his family and I feel connected to her somehow. Klark is great and sweet. And I actually sympathize Nico, he’s been through a lot, such sadness that he had to bear.

The world-building as well as he story-line is perfect, the romance balanced the action. It was clear and easy to understand. It is very much well-written.

Overall, I very much enjoy this book and I am looking forward to reading another book of Susan Grant’s and I certainly am looking forward for the next book in series.
